In memory of Emma Isherwood

In June 2012 founding Trustee of SCaRF Tony Hancock, his wife Janet and SCaRF administrator Caroline Newton travelled to Mountway School of Dancing in Taunton to receive a cheque for £3,000 raised in memory of Emma Isherwood who died in March of that year from malignant melanoma leaving three young daughters two of whom attended the Mountway School of Dance.

The School Principal Miss Verity was a long-standing friend of Emma’s.  Every other year the pupils of the school put on a show which this year raised £3,000 for the Skin Cancer Research Fund.  Tony, Janet and Caroline watched two young classes practice their steps and routines and very much admired the skills of the youngsters.  Janet said “We very much enjoyed our visit to Mountway Dance School in Taunton and were made to feel very welcome by Miss Verity and her pupils staff, parents and supporters who helped to raise this wonderful sum for our research fund.
